About the Illustrator

Erin Coleman Ryan is an artist living in Miami, Fla., with her husband and two precious children.

Erin earned her BA in studio art at Florida State University. Using her artistic skills to support her professional career, she specializes in portraits of children and pets, Florida-inspired landscape paintings, and residential and commercial mural work.

Erin works as a preschool art teacher during the school year while allowing herself to encompass her creativity and individuality through Erin Marie Designs year round. She loves sharing her enthusiasm for art with kids and honing their creative instincts, both in her classroom work and with her children’s book illustrations.

Currently, Erin is illustrating The Matter of the May Mouse, the next book in a series of children’s books authored by best friend, Kirsten, due to publish in the near future.

Erin and her family are avid fans of the outdoors and can often be found biking, gardening, boating and exploring the Florida Everglades.
